“Great artists are people who find a way to be themselves in their art. Any sort of pretension induces mediocrity in art and life alike.”
—Margot Fonteyn
Do you keep walking the same roads or paths? To work or to the store? Take a different route, discover the world around you, notice. Maybe you just need to walk down the aisle and you will see that there is a small cat that needs to be fed.
In the real world we walk on roads and paths and it is the same in our thinking. It's like you're walking down the same well-trodden path in your brain. If you want to change your thinking, look at the situation, take a different route. Do things differently and your body, mind and emotions will then be able to respond differently. Great example is Joe Dispenza's work on neurolinguistics.
Go to nature, take a walk. Listen not only to yourself and your thoughts, but also to the nature around you. Find a friend, a tree that interests you. Any kind. Greet him, pet him, ask him if you can sit under him. Create a relationship with him. Maybe he will give you the answer to one of your questions.
And think about doing something you have never done! Have you always had the qualms about dancing wildly off the beat in front of others? Or were you afraid to swim in the sea naked? Go to the forest at night? Lie down in the meadow and look at the stars? Write a list and choose one thing to start. Go on!
